Jacob Hoover

Jacob began his ballet studies at the Walnut Hill School, continued at the Boston Dance Company under Jimmy Reardon and spent three summers and one year at the Miami City Ballet School studying with Carter Alexander. Jacob has participated in programs at The Harid Conservatory, Kaatsbaan, the Kennedy Center with Suzanne Farrell, Ellison Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and the National Institute of Flamenco. Jacob plays Classical, Klezmer and Celtic violin and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree at the Harvard Extension School. He joined José Mateo Ballet Theatre as an apprentice in 2008, and was invited to be a company member in 2009.
