Summer Dance Programs

EXCEL BEYOND EXPECTATION!

Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre offers distinctive and exciting summer dance program for students of all ages and levels, reflecting its philosophy that all students can reach their individual potential.

SUMMER INTENSIVE PROGRAM

Ages 10 – 20
July 2 – August 3, 2018

Since 1985 José Mateo Ballet Theatre has helped hundreds of hard working young dancers make critical breakthroughs in their technical achievement during the Summer Intensive Program. Students will discover new potential and master unexpected levels of ability and artistic creativity in a welcoming environment with a staff of dedicated and highly qualified instructors.

The Summer Intensive Program is designed for students looking for a rigorous ballet training program and focuses on small class sizes and individual attention.  The goal of the Intensive is to ensure that all students see significant growth in their ballet technique in a short time frame.

All students will participate in daily ballet technique and pointe classes, variations, partnering, alignment and body mechanics, and daily rehearsals for a public performance.  Students will also participate in master classes by guest faculty in ballet, character and ethnic dance forms.  Male students will have men’s specific classes that focus on the technique and vocabulary specific to male dancers.
