2024 Repertory Concert Audition Form
Dear parents,
We hope you had a wonderful holiday season and realize that this audition comes on the heels of The Nutcracker. We hope that if anything it has inspired your child to look forward to their next big performance.
Every year, José Mateo Ballet Theatre provides an opportunity for students in Ballet Levels III to VI to gain additional performance experience by participating in a Repertory Concert with pieces choreographed for them by José Mateo. These performances are separate and distinct from the End of Year Demonstration and involve an in-class audition, followed by eleven weekends of rehearsals leading up to the performance(s) in mid-May.
The in-class auditions for the Repertory Concert will be held Saturday, January 13.
- Any student who wishes to participate should fill out the form below.
- Make-up auditions are available by appointment. Please contact the office in advance to schedule one.
- The 2024 Repertory Concert Audition Form lists the rehearsal dates and we ask all families to please read these carefully and sign off on their child’s ability to attend the necessary rehearsals. Please note that it is critical that if your student wishes to participate they must be available to attend all mandatory rehearsals and performances and a minimum of 8 of 10 regular rehearsals listed. Additional rehearsals may be scheduled if needed.
- Should your child be accepted into the program, there is a $150 participation fee per student in order to defray production and costuming costs. Financial aid is available, please inquire with the office.
- In addition to the Repertory Concert, all students will perform in the annual Dance for World Community Festival on June 8, 2024.
