JMBT welcomes dancers of all backgrounds to audition for its professional company and character roles for the upcoming Nutcracker season. Professional dancers, adult ballet students, and college students are all encouraged to audition.LIVE AUDITION

JMBT Cambridge StudiosDancers are to wear form-fitting dance attire with long hair pulled back away from the face in a bun or twist. Female dancers are highly encouraged to bring pointe shoes.Video audition submissions are also accepted online! All dancers must be legally authorized to work in the US; we are not able to do visa sponsorships at this time. NEW PROGRAM!
Adult Summer Intensive is a one-week program in August for adult dancers who want to see great improvements in their technique and learn ballet repertoire. A rare opportunity for adult dancers, this program aims to help adult dancers quickly make progress in their own ballet journey through daily technique class, dance conditioning, and offers a chance to learn classical ballet repertoire. The program will culminate in an informal showcase to highlight the progress students have made followed by a reception.➡️ Dates: August 5-10, 2024 (6 days)
M-F evenings, Saturday morning with showcase and reception
➡️ Level: Students should feel comfortable taking an intermediate level or above ballet class. Pointe work is featured in the schedule, but not required.
➡️ Ages: 18 and above
➡️ Location: JMBT Cambridge Studios
➡️ Curriculum: Conditioning/Gyrotonics, Ballet Technique, Pointe, Repertoire (both classical ballet variations and Josè Mateo’s choreography)

Last week, our production partners @wooden_kiwi_productions refurbished the marley floors in the Sanctuary Theatre (Studio I)! The floors are now completely flattened without tapes and rid of uneven sections. Big thanks to Wooden Kiwi for always keeping our studios up to date!
