José Mateo Ballet Theatre believes the arts should be accessible to all – especially children! Enjoy dramatically reduced prices for school groups and cultivate in your students an appreciation for dance and the performing arts. See JMBT’s engaging version of The Nutcracker and marvel at the skilled performances by professional dancers and over 100 children.

Discounted tickets are available for Title I schools that require financial aid.

For schools that require financial aid to attend our school shows, please apply for Mass Cultural Council’s Local Cultural Council Program for funding.

Discounted tickets are available for Title I schools that require financial aid. To apply for discounted tickets, schools must provide Title I documentation and a letter from the school’s principal stating financial need.

The Nutcracker production uses amplified symphonic music only. Additional production features include fog through dry ice and one gunshot sound in the battle scene.

Schools will be assigned theatre seats upon arrival on the day of the show.

Please let us know of any seating requests you may have (ie: near an exit, wheelchair accessibility, only on balcony, etc).
